About this Ride
Where: Honda Park, Schumaker Road, Maramarua Forest.
Classes: You don’t need to be a professional to enter, but you do need to be prepared to dig deep and keep moving when it gets hard.
Terrain: This is terrain that rewards patience, commitment, and problem-solving under fatigue. Expect steep climbs, endless roots, deep ruts, and no easy lines.
The Pines delivered - and then some...so we are back for 2027!
Conditions were dialled (if you liked mud and rain), the track delivered exactly what it promised, and the energy from both riders and spectators carried right through the day.
The numbers tell part of the story. Out of everyone who lined up, only 13 riders managed to conquer the full course. Just 7 of those beat the relentless 4-hour cutoff to earn official finisher medal. It was tough, technical, and unforgiving in all the right ways.
But Pines has never been just about results.
What really stood out was the atmosphere. The support out on course, the camaraderie in the pits, the shared respect between riders taking on something genuinely difficult.
Whether you finished, timed out, or simply gave it everything you had, there was a strong sense that everyone was part of something worth being proud of.
And that’s exactly why we’re bringing it back.
The Pines returns in 2027.
Bigger. Tighter. And built to raise the bar again - minus the rain hopefully?
Expect refinements where they matter, the same raw challenge that defines the event, and an even stronger experience for riders and spectators alike. We’ve taken everything from this year and we’re leveling it up so lock it in your calendar now.
If you were there in 2026, you already know what’s coming. If you weren’t…this is your shot to be part of it. The Pines won't be any easier - you just get another chance.
